The Village

  The Village is a larger work based on a smaller (12 x 16) work.  First, I like to work out these images on a smaller scale before proceeding to larger works.  These figures are crossing a street in Greenwich Village near Broadway and the Twenties.  The yellow stop light and purple shadow on the street below provide the only bright color contrast.
