Rumble

Rumble is part of the series with the female figure reading as the main subject.  The title comes from the idea of capturing the fell of the image so well that you can almost hear the sounds.  This figure is waiting for the next train while a car rumbles by.

Hanger On

Hanger On is part of a series that illustrates the female figure reading.  I use subdued colors in these subway scenes to better convey the mood of inside a subway car.  Isabel Bishop is an artist which I admire who did similar scenes.  As you looked at her work you could almost hear the rumblings of the subway car.

High Knees

High Knees is part of a series to do with athletes and sporting events.  When I first glanced at this painting thoughts of Leroy Neiman came to mind.  I remember looking at his sports themed works, not by choice but rather, they were everywhere you looked if you watched sports.  They became so ingrained in your mind.
