  Blue Shadow on Book is part of a series that focuses on the female figure reading.    I spotted this figure reading in a grassy, park type area around Millennium Park in Chicago.   I've been influenced by Elmer Bischoff's work, an artist that I started looking at about a year ago.  Like his work, this image has a figure/background blurred relationship and a dream-like state.

  Downpour in July is part of a series of works focusing on the urban landscape.  This scene was from a major downpour that happened last July here in Chicago.  Viewers can relate to rainy cityscapes because the climate can be conveyed very easily. For me, rain, snow, and bright sunshine, work best for cityscapes.
