Green Grass Fashion Magazine

Green Grass and Fashion Magazine is part of a series depicting the female figure reading.  This figure is reclining in a grassy area while reading a fashion magazine.  Those are the literal details but my main goal is to have the natural environment encompass the figure.

Figure Scape

Figure Scape is part of a series that depicts the female figure reading.  These scenes of the figure reading on the beach convey more of a surreal feeling.  The empty space and non descript  objects add to the mood.

High Knees

High Knees is part of a series to do with athletes and sporting events.  When I first glanced at this painting thoughts of Leroy Neiman came to mind.  I remember looking at his sports themed works, not by choice but rather, they were everywhere you looked if you watched sports.  They became so ingrained in your mind.

Gang Tackle

Gang Tackle is part of a series to do with sports or athletic events.  I particularly like the sport of football because of the human struggle element.  The figures are caught in violent struggles with legs and arms moving in all directions.

Comfortable Park Bench

Comfortable Park Bench is part of a series that focuses on the female figure reading.  Everyday common scenes are the images I like to do the most.  These urban genre paintings work the best when they are executed on a small scale.

Slugger

Slugger is part of a series to do with sports and athletic events.  In this painting, the face and uniform are oblivious to details.  My focus is to capture the movement of the swing and not the individual.

Long Counter

Long Counter is part of a series to do with food and drink.  The viewpoint gives a feeling as if you were just walking into the diner.  The long counter then leads you to the back where the figures are already situated.  This gives the impression that some sort of confrontation is about to happen.
