Gang Tackle

Gang Tackle is part of a series to do with sports or athletic events.  I particularly like the sport of football because of the human struggle element.  The figures are caught in violent struggles with legs and arms moving in all directions.

Comfortable Park Bench

Comfortable Park Bench is part of a series that focuses on the female figure reading.  Everyday common scenes are the images I like to do the most.  These urban genre paintings work the best when they are executed on a small scale.

Slugger

Slugger is part of a series to do with sports and athletic events.  In this painting, the face and uniform are oblivious to details.  My focus is to capture the movement of the swing and not the individual.

Long Counter

Long Counter is part of a series to do with food and drink.  The viewpoint gives a feeling as if you were just walking into the diner.  The long counter then leads you to the back where the figures are already situated.  This gives the impression that some sort of confrontation is about to happen.

Hidden Guests

Hidden Guests is part of a series to do with food and drink.  I focus on the service people providing the goods in this series.  Their poses and gestures are more telling than any of the figures.  As in this case, the guest are hidden but the waiter's expression is evident.

Winter Steam

Winter Steam is part of a series of urban landscapes and the figures that inhabit them.  Usually, in these works, the figures are hustling and bustling across the street.  The steam which escapes below the street is an organic that contrast the strict architecture.
