Cityscape #44 is part of a series depicting the urban landscapes.  This particular scene is Chicago early in the morning.  So early in the morning the street is void of any inhabitants. The sidewalk and sky are designed to intersect at the focal point.

NYNY #12 is part of an ongoing series of paintings about New York City.  Most of these images come from the early spring when the weather was still chilly.  This painting was of a busy crosswalk around 10th Avenue and 52nd Street.  Notice how the focal point is at the intersection of a horizontal and vertical line.

Wabash #7 is part of a series of paintings depicting Wabash Avenue here in Chicago.  The street has a very unique look to it by the elevated train tracks that run parallel to the street.  It's often shown in movies which are filmed here.

  Reader #70 is part of an ongoing series to do with the female figure reading.  The figure in this painting looks to be reading a book somewhere in the country.  Actually, she's relaxing under a tree in a park in downtown Chicago.  The discovery of these scenes I consider to be half of teh process.
