Cityscape #22

Cityscape #22 is a depiction of late afternoon as the sun is starting to go down.  The people are starting to head home from work.  I'm trying to capture the mood rather than the knick knack details.  This  is Jackson Street in downtown Chicago in late summer.

Coming and Going #50  is Wells Street in downtown Chicago.  There is an elevated train above and plenty of people traffic during lunch.  Also,  I am trying to eliminate much of the details to give more of the hectic pace of the scene.

Wabash #4 is part of series that depicts the street scene on Wabash Avenue here in Chicago.  A large section of the street is covered with the overhead el tracks.  Also, I try  to keep the energy and hustle bustle of the scene by leaving out the details.

Railroad #1

Railroad #1 depicts the railroad tracks under the bridge on Roosevelt Road here in Chicago.  I've done a few railroad scenes maybe three or four altogether this year.  The long diagonals of the tracks contrast with the vertical shape of the buildings and makes a good design.
